DISH Network Offering The Best Value On Programming Packages

 • Today's DISH Network packages are very competitive with other pay-TV services
 • DISH Network is offering some great deals for packages that include over 100 channels
 • Comcast is quite expensive and FiOS availability is quite limited

DISH Network offers more diverse packages now than ever. Starting from just $24.99 per month for the "DISH Family" programming package, all the way up to their premium "Everything Pak 295" which gives you more than 280 channels, including premium movie channels like HBO, Showtime, Starz Movie Pack and Cinemax, plus NBA TV for basketball fans.

DISH Network's "America's Top 120" package is an excellent way to get started with DISH Network inexpensively, since the package is offered for just $24.99 for the first year and includes over 120 all-digital channels, and for just $10 more you can get more than 65 HD channels added to the package. Great for folks who just spent money on a new HDTV.

Competition between the satellite companies is pretty fierce and when you consider cable TV and newer services like Verizon FiOS, some consumers have a lot to choose from when it comes to television entertainment.

It's getting a bit hard to keep up with all the latest offers from the various pay-television providers because they are always changing their offers so they can beat or match the competition. Where I live we can choose between DISH Network, DirecTV or Comcast cable television. I suspect it will be a long time before any "fiber to the door" services life Verizon FiOS are available where we live.

While DISH Network and DirecTV seem pretty close in their package pricing for the time being, Comcast remains the most expensive option. They are offering "about 100" channels for $39.99 for six months, which is about $15 per month more for the same amount of channels DISH Network is offering for twice as long. After the initial six months, the Comcast price skyrockets to $62.25, while the DISH price rises to $39.99 after a full year.

No thanks, Comcast, I'll stick with my DISH.

Keep in mind that these prices are what is currently being offered in my area and that offers in your area may differ. Also remember that these offers are always changing, so it is quite possible that they will change soon.

International Packages Offer Something For Everybody

 • Satellite leads cable and FiOS when it comes to international programming
 • DISH Network edges out DirecTV by providing programming in more languages
 • The clear industry leader in international programming packages is DISH Network

It's hard to beat satellite TV when it comes to variety. They offer more international programming packages than both Comcast and Verizon FiOS.

As of this writing, FiOS is offering programming in 21 languages, while Comcast seems a little uncertain about what they are offering. The international page on the Comcast website says they offer "various languages including (but not limited to): Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Russian, and Spanish." When I click the link to see what's available in my area, I get a page that reads "We are currently working to provide channel lineup information for your area."

As for DirecTV, they seem to be offering programming that covers about 18 or so languages.

Currently, DISH Network appears to be the leader in international programming with a total of 27 languages represented in various international programming packages, including programming in eight languages from the South Asian market alone.

DISH Network currently offers programming in the following languages: Arabic, Armenian, Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese), Filipino, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Hindi, Gujarati, Bangla, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Ukrainian, Urdu and Vietnamese.

There's a DISH Network package for a wide variety of people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and is clearly the industry leader in programming for the world's many dialects.
